Overview
This course is designed for persons who could be required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions on priority order for responding to the emergency incident area. People who undertake this work may act as a primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.
Pre-requisites
PUAWER005B (Operate as a part of an Emergency Control Organisation) must be completed prior to commencement of training.

- PUAWER006B/01: Prepare for workplace emergencies

- PUAWER006B/03: Control the response to emergency reports, signals and warnings
- PUAWER006B/04: Co-ordinate reports and results of initial emergency response
- PUAWER006B/05: Conclude incident

Duration
To maximize learning benefits, it is recommended that this course be conducted with a maximum of 15 participants over a period of up to 4 hours. If pre-requisite unit is required, the course would be approximately 6 - 8 hours.
Resources
Suitable classroom equipped with whiteboard. A suitable area to light and extinguish small fires.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, each student will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
