Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [CPR]



The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course provides students will the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR, manage and assess an emergency situation, DRSABCD, use of automatic external defibrillator and first aiders legal responsibilities.

All training provided is in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

This course is designed for existing workers in the industry who may require CPR training first aid training as recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council.
This course is designed also for candidates who wish to gain a good understanding of CPR, not only for those in the workplace, but also for anyone wishing to learn how to perform this essential life-saving skill at home or for sport.
This unit is also suitable for General Practitioners who may be able to gain CPD points following completion. Please refer to your specific governing association.

  • Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units:
  • • HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • NOTE: The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that refresher training is done every 12 months for the HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

This course has a written and practical assessment. It is an accredited Training Package requirement of this course that learners are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
