Introduction:

This Advanced Resuscitation course provides a set of skills to provide an advanced response in the event of an emergency. It is relevant for personnel who are the designated first aiders, and will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to effectively operate advanced resuscitation equipment such as oxygen and a defibrillator.

The Provide Advanced Resuscitation course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to understand the safety requirements when handling an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), as well as the skills to use an AED within the first minutes after a cardiac arrest, as well as skills and knowledge to safely perform oxygen therapy and resuscitation in the workplace.
 
Provide advanced resuscitation is an important training component for those working, or wishing to work, in diverse fields including:
 
• Occupational First Aid
• Medical Service Emergency Response
• Mining and Aviation
• Nursing
• Primary Health Care
 
  • A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment recognised by the Australian Qualifications Training Framework, for the following unit of competency:
  • • HLTAID007 - Provide advanced resuscitation
Our One Day course requires learners to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.
