Safe Working in a Confined Space with Breathing Apparatus [Refresher Course]
Introduction:
This training is suitable for employees who are required enter confined spaces for maintenance, servicing or vessels.
Participants are guided through recognition of typical hazardous conditions relating to confined spaces including; oxygen depletion, combustible atmospheres and atmospheric contaminants. Armed with the knowledge to identify potential hazards, participants learn how to assess a task, control the hazards and develop and implement safe work practices.
Refresher Course:
Our refresher course are short duration training courses designed for workers/candidates who hold existing accredited competencies delivered by our full courses.

Additional Information:
Training and assessment involves moderate to high physical activity. Learners are required to be able to freely walk, bend and twist, perform safe lifting techniques and be familiar with typical workplace risk and safety protocols.

- Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units:
- MSMPER200 - Work in accordance with an issued permit
- MSMPER205 - Enter confined space
- MSMWHS216 - Operate breathing apparatus
- MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres
The assessments for this program have been designed to assess a candidate’s competence in accordance with the relevant endorsed Training Packages, applicable Legislation & Australian Standards and the proprietary requirements of the organisation or workplace. The assessments will consist of both written and practical components.
