Perform rescue from a Live LV Panel including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [LVR Incl. CPR]

Introduction:

The Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel training course is designed for electricians as well as non-electrical personnel and covers rescue procedures from a live low voltage (LV) apparatus.
 
The course covers the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution, or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of standard working operations. 

Please note: The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that refresher training is done every 12 months for the HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  LVR is valid for 12 months and must be completed every 12 months for anyone working on live LV panels.

This course is designed for participants who work in Commercial Infrastructure, Electrical Safety, Electricians, Telco’s and NBN, telecommunications, those who work on High Rise Buildings, TV Antenna installers, Shop fitters, Professional Industries involving Construction and or electrical installation, those who work with Gas and/or refrigeration.

Effectively any candidate who comes into contact with electricity during their day-to-day work should be trained in Low Voltage Rescue.
  • Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units:
  • • UETTDRRF06 - Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
  • • HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The assessment for this course includes a written assessment to evaluate knowledge and a practical component in which candidate’s will be required to demonstrate LVR rescue and CPR techniques.  The assessment for Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel has been designed to assess a person’s competence in accordance with the Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package.
 
Entry Requirements:
To successfully complete this course, you must be physically able to complete the assessments which include:

• Performing uninterrupted CPR for at least two minutes on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
• Performing uninterrupted CPR for at least two minutes on an infant resuscitation manikin and
• Demonstrating safe manual handling techniques.

• Delivery consists of face to face and practical simulations

  • • Report accidents/incidents to authorised personnel in accordance with established procedures
